MEET JANE
I've always been fascinated by what makes people who they are.
Why do two people experience the same situation so differently? Why do we sometimes repeat patterns that no longer serve us? And how does greater self-understanding change the way we relate to ourselves and the people we love?
Those questions have shaped both my life and my work.
As the founder of Life Lab Institute, I help individuals, couples, families, organizations, and college students better understand themselves so they can strengthen relationships, navigate life's transitions, and live with greater intention.
My background spans coaching, education, mental health, and community outreach, but the thread connecting all of those experiences has remained the same: creating meaningful conversations that help people gain insight, grow, and move forward.
One of the most valuable tools I've found for this work is the Enneagram, which I've been studying since 1998. I don't see it as a personality test or a way to label people. I see it as a framework that helps us understand the motivations, patterns, and perspectives that shape how we think, communicate, and relate to others. Used thoughtfully, it becomes a powerful catalyst for greater self-awareness and lasting growth.
Whether I'm coaching one-on-one or facilitating a workshop, my approach is warm, thoughtful, practical, and engaging. I strive to create a space where people feel comfortable being honest with themselves, curious about others, and equipped with practical tools they can carry into everyday life.
Originally from New England, I spent two decades living in Northern California before returning home after a year of traveling and living abroad. Those experiences broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the many ways people find meaning, build relationships, and navigate life's challenges.
When I'm not coaching or leading workshops, you'll usually find me in my garden, on the water with family and friends, or continuing to learn about the things that help people feel content and connected.
I'd be honored to be part of your journey.
